Our Bilingual Collège Students' Unforgettable Canadian Exchange

International exchanges are at the heart of the Ermitage Paris experience, and this year our bilingual Collège students had the chance to live it firsthand. After welcoming our friends from BSS and UCC to Ermitage Paris last March, it was finally time for our own students, from 6ème to 4ème, to cross the Atlantic and spend two incredible weeks immersed in Toronto life.

A Warm Welcome to Canada

From the moment they landed, our students were met with the warm Canadian hospitality that has made this exchange so special year after year. Hosted by families connected to our partner schools, they quickly felt right at home, ready to dive into Canadian daily life and discover a new culture from the inside.

Discovering Toronto's Schools and City Life

The itinerary included visits to the prestigious campuses of Branksome Hall School (BSS) and Upper Canada College (UCC), giving our students a fascinating glimpse into student life at two renowned Canadian institutions. Beyond the classroom, they also explored the heart of Toronto itself, taking in iconic landmarks such as the CN Tower and the Gardiner Museum, and soaking up the energy of the city centre.

Adventures Beyond the City

No trip to the region would be complete without a visit to the breathtaking Niagara Falls, and our students had the chance to witness their sheer power up close. They also enjoyed a day in the fresh air at Norval Park, embracing the great outdoors. As the highlight of the trip, the group attended an electric baseball match between the Blue Jays and the Red Sox - a truly memorable sporting experience for everyone involved.

Building Friendships Across Oceans

Beyond the sightseeing and activities, this exchange was above all an opportunity to strengthen friendships that span oceans and to bring to life the international values at the heart of our school's mission. Now in its third consecutive year, this exchange programme continues to give our students a genuine window onto another culture, another school system, and lifelong international friendships.

We are incredibly proud to offer this experience to our students, and we are already looking forward to next year's edition!
