For three vibrant weeks, Ermitage came alive with laughter, creativity, and discovery as children aged 3 to 11 participated in our bilingual French-English summer camp, experiencing a world where languages and learning go hand in hand.
Divided into two age groups (4–7 and 8–11), each child enjoyed activities tailored to their interests and developmental needs, ensuring they could thrive at their own pace. The carefully designed daily rhythm allowed for engaging activities, outdoor play, creative projects, and quiet moments for rest, providing each child with a balanced and enriching day.

A Week-by-Week Journey of Discovery
Each week brought a new theme, providing opportunities for children to expand their vocabulary in both English and French while having fun:

Week 1: Animals of the World”. Children explored the diversity of wildlife across continents through games, crafts, and storytelling.

Week 2: In the second week, the campers turned into “Explorers and Adventurers”. Little adventurers set off on imaginative journeys, learning about famous explorers while creating treasure maps and adventure crafts.

Week 3: For the last week, participants delved into the world of “Sciences and Experiments”. Budding scientists conducted exciting experiments, discovering the wonders of science through hands-on activities.

Inside a Camp Day at Ermitage

Mornings began with a warm welcome and free play time, followed by activities prepared by the activity leaders. After a busy morning, it was already lunchtime, followed by outdoor play time and a nap for the youngest children.

Just like in the mornings, the afternoons were filled with creative projects such as painting, crafts, gardening, and scientific experiments, making each day unique and stimulating.

Older children (aged 8–11) explored a wide variety of activities, including arts, cooking and sports, promoting creativity, teamwork and curiosity while strengthening their bilingual skills.

Celebrating Friendships and Milestones

Beyond the activities and themes, this summer camp was about the connections children built with each other and their supervisors. From cheering on friends during outdoor games to helping each other with crafts and experiments, campers learned the values of teamwork, kindness, and cooperation in a natural, bilingual environment. These small but meaningful moments: laughter over shared lunches, teamwork during treasure hunts, and pride in completed art projects, became the heart of our camp, making this summer a season of friendship, growth, and unforgettable memories at Ermitage.

This year’s summer camp at Ermitage was a true bilingual immersion, allowing children to build confidence, friendships, and memories in a joyful, secure environment. We are proud to have witnessed their growth, laughter, and creativity, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back for future bilingual adventures!
