A Wonderful Day of Sport and Community: Our Bilingual Primary School's Annual Kermesse Sportive

Every year, our bilingual primary school marks the end of the school year with one of its most joyful traditions: the Kermesse Sportive. This year's edition was a resounding success, bringing together students, families, and staff for a day that beautifully blended physical activity, personal growth, and community spirit.

A Celebration of Effort and Progress

The day began with dynamic running and jumping tracks, where our students experienced the joy of healthy effort and individual progress. Rather than focusing on competition alone, these activities gave every child the chance to challenge themselves and celebrate their own achievements - a core part of how we support each student's development at Ermitage.

Team Sports That Build Community

The Kermesse also put the spotlight on collaboration, with team sports including football, volleyball, ultimate frisbee, and javelin. With every goal, pass, and throw, students experienced the sense of pride and camaraderie that comes from working together toward a shared goal, a wonderful reminder of the strong community our students are part of, both on and off the field.

A Sunny Day Shared with Families

Under a beautiful sunny sky, students and their families came together to enjoy a truly wonderful day as a school community. Moments like these, where parents can share in their children's school life outside the classroom, are an important part of what makes Ermitage such a warm and connected place to grow up.

A Festive Finish: The Tombola

To conclude the day, we held a brilliant tombola, made possible thanks to the generosity of our partners and parents, who donated wonderful prizes from their businesses. Every student returned home with a smile - and a gift. A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this day so memorable, and we already look forward to next year's Kermesse Sportive!
