IB Programs Orientation 2021-22 : Moving Forward Together

The first three days in the IB Programs 2021-22 were dedicated to activities to help students get to know each other, learn more about Ermitage, and prepare for the upcoming year. This Orientation Program included icebreakers, sports and team-building games, some challenging adventure activities, and various outings in the area, to Paris and beyond. Here are some of the activities:

  • MYP 1 & 2: A trip to the Maisons-Laffitte park for a chance to play and a trip Giverny to visit Claude Monet’s house & gardens
  • MYP 3: A visit to a Maisons-Laffitte racehorse training stable to learn about the world of horse racing and a trip to Good Planet to learn about how to help take care of our planet

  • MYP 4: A high ropes course, visit to la Cité de Science, and electric boat riding on the Canal St. Martin

  • MYP 5: A climbing wall, walking tour of street art in Paris, and a digital art experience
  • DP 1: A “Kick Off to CAS” sports event and a treasure hunt in Paris
  • DP 2: Bowling and Laser-tag

“Today we went around Maisons-Laffitte and learned many interesting facts about horses and Maisons-Laffitte’s history. While we were walking, we also got the opportunity to talk with people and make new friends. We were learning and meeting new people at the same time and it was really fun.” -- MYP 3 Emilie
