IB MYP and DP students engage in service throughout their academics as it is a core component of an IB education:

MYP: Service as Action
DP: Creativity-Activity-Service

Through these core components, Ermitage helps to develop our IB learners as caring, principled, and open-minded members of their community who strive to have a positive impact on the lives of others. Recently, the IB students have reached out to give back to the community in a range of projects:

Lilian, an MYP student created a website and collected school supplies for hard hit schools in Beirut following the harbor catastrophe, supporting Les Valises Pour Beyrouth program.

DP students, Salvador and Alice, are built a social media campaign to raise awareness of the importance of social distancing and designed 6 FEET APART logo sweatshirts to fundraise for the World Health Organization for COVID-19 research.

We look forward to seeing how these initiatives evolve in the year ahead and how students transform as project leaders in the process.
