At Ermitage IB School, we believe that learning happens both in the classroom and beyond. Reflecting this philosophy, earlier this week, our DP2 French Language and Literature students participated in a guided tour, conducted entirely in French, at Maisons-Laffitte’s own Château de Maisons Laffitte.
The tour, titled "Amour et mariage font-ils bon ménage", was led by a guide from the Monuments Nationaux and explored the connections between love and marriage in the 18th and 19th centuries. Our students impressed the guide with their insightful questions and active engagement. This enriching experience allowed students to delve into the social norms of the time, particularly the role of women in historical societies, fostering strong interdisciplinary connections and deepening their understanding of the cultural heritage of Maisons-Laffitte.
