During Spring holidays, Ermitage International School Paris turned up the excitement with a bilingual holiday camp unlike any other. Designed for children aged 3 to 11, the “Superheroes” camp offered a unique opportunity for kids to immerse themselves in both French and English while diving headfirst into a world of imagination, creativity, and action-packed fun. This camp was designed to meet the needs of children of all ages, with specific activities for two main groups: the youngest (aged 3 to 7) and the oldest (aged 8 to 11). Thanks to this organisation, each child was able to benefit from a tailor-made programme to suit his or her stage of development, energy level and interests. Much more than a simple holiday camp, it was a truly bilingual and multicultural journey, where learning and fun came together.
Little Heroes: Learning Through Play for 3-7 Year-olds
For the youngest campers, each day provided a balance of exploration, movement, creativity, and storytelling. The bilingual setting helped them learn new vocabulary naturally through songs, games, and interactive activities, all linked to the thrilling theme of superheroes.
The camp offered the children rich and varied days, filled with team-building games, sports activities and creative workshops. In a nurturing environment that respected their pace, they took part in hands-on activities such as crafts, obstacle courses and storytelling circles, while developing their imaginations around the theme of superheroes.
Over the course of the week, they designed their own superhero outfits: masks, shields, capes, magic wands... revealing their inner superpowers! They also painted a group mural, danced, prepared a themed snack and took on sporting challenges.
Highlights included mini-quests, a much-anticipated treasure hunt, and to round off the adventure in style, a super parade where everyone proudly showcased their superhero costume.
Super Adventurers: Creative Challenges and Team Spirit for 8-11 Years-olds
The older children embarked on a programme designed to stimulate their creativity, awaken their independence and strengthen their social skills. While keeping to the superhero theme, the activities were designed to encourage them to take on new challenges. In a bilingual environment, the children took part in workshops combining fun, reflection and collaboration, while naturally enriching their French and English language skills in a fun and exciting way.
The programme included creating their own superhero comic books, designing medals and costume accessories, and diving into sports like athletics. They explored storytelling and painting through poster-making, experimented with hands-on science by making slime, and took on mental challenges in escape games and strategic puzzles.
Between quiet times and more dynamic moments, the children enjoyed board games such as the classic superhero version of “Who am I?”. The week ended on a high note with a big Olympics and a festive parade, giving everyone a chance to shine.
A Camp That Improves Language and Confidence
What sets the Ermitage International School holiday camps apart is not only their bilingual foundation, but also their commitment to sparking imagination and encouraging self-expression. Children are not just participants: they are creators, problem-solvers, and storytellers. Whether they are designing their own superhero identity or working as a team to crack a clue, each child is celebrated for their unique strengths and talents.
In a world where screen time often replaces face-to-face interaction, our camps offer a refreshing alternative: a joyful, safe space where children learn, play, and grow together, in both English and French.
