As part of our school network composed of numerous schools across six continents, we provide our students with unique opportunities for international exchanges. Recently, Thomas, a student at Lycée de l’Ermitage, seized this exceptional opportunity and travelled to Denmark to have an unforgettable experience at the Herlufsholm School. In the following lines, Thomas shares his story with us:

“When considering this exchange, the word “incredible” would be an understatement! 

During this exchange, I had the chance to enroll in the prestigious boarding school of Herlufsholm and immerse myself in Danish culture and lifestyle. I attended IB classes and discovered a brand-new educational system. The teachers were delightful, and my classmates warmly welcomed me, allowing me to improve my social skills and, most importantly, make new friends.

The school offered multiple extracurricular activities in my free time such as rowing, fencing, football, and many other thrilling options. On weekends, I would either stay at the boarding school or visit the homes of my exchange students. Both hosting families were terrific and open to new ideas and perspectives. They allowed me to explore Copenhagen, the Danish countryside, and even Hamburg in Germany.

In conclusion, this exchange was fantastic, enabling me to meet new people, experience a different educational system, and grow as a person.”
