Back to Prehistoric Times for our French Bilingual CE1 Students

For a day, our French Bilingual CE1 students travelled thousands of years back in time to discover what life was like for our prehistoric ancestors. Through a series of immersive workshops, the children were able to explore this fascinating period in a hands-on and engaging way.

Fire: An Essential Discovery

The students began by learning why fire played such a vital role in the daily life of prehistoric humans. They then had a go at lighting a fire themselves using the fire bow method. A fun exercise that quickly taught them just how much patience and skill this ancestral technique really requires!

Making Their Own Jewellery

Next, the children tried their hand at crafting prehistoric jewellery, drilling and sanding stones to create a unique piece. A hands-on activity that let each student take home their very own creation.
