In the French swimming world, Adam, currently in Première at Ermitage Lycée, made his mark during the French Short Course Championship from December 9 to 12 in Montluçon. At just 16 years old, he captured the attention of the public and those around him by winning the title of French champion in his specialty, the butterfly stroke. With a time of 1:59:82 in the 200m butterfly, Adam achieved the best performance ever in his category, dethroning Léon Marchand, himself several times world champion.
To achieve this feat, Adam followed a rigorous training program, juggling between his studies and his passion for swimming. His specialty, the butterfly stroke, is a demanding event that requires strength, technique and endurance. It is precisely in this discipline that Adam shone, demonstrating exceptional control and speed in the water. Perseverance and willpower were essential pillars of his performance.
A success that inspires admiration because far from resting on his laurels during these championships, Adam also took second place in the 100m butterfly with a time of 55:10, and third place in the 50m butterfly with a performance of 25:20.
2023 has been a golden year for Adam, with already three French championship titles in the 200m butterfly, as well as numerous silver and bronze medals in other competitions. We wish Adam every success as he embarks on a promising and inspiring career for the younger generation of swimmers. This is not the first time we have shared his achievements, and we eagerly anticipate diving into the next ones!
