As part of our ongoing expansion, Ermitage International School is pleased to invite applications for the position of IB MYP Media Studies and IB DP Film teacher. We are looking for an experienced teacher with proven results who is able to introduce and develop a programme of IBMYP Media Studies leading to DP Film Studies. The ability to teach another IB subject, or lead an after-school activity would be an advantage but is not required. This full-time position starts in August 2023. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practitioner to develop the school’s film and media studies program across all year groups.

The ideal candidate will:
- Have a Degree, relevant to Media Studies or Film.
- Have a recognised teaching qualification.
- Have relevant teaching experience within a recognised educational organisation.
- Have familiarity with a range of film equipment, techniques and appropriate software.
- Lead the development of a new media studies and film curriculum.
- Have effective interpersonal skills and ability to form positive relationships with students, staff and parents.
- Introduce, develop and promote a new area of the curriculum at the school.
We are looking for an applicant with a solid knowledge base of the subject to be taught, who is willing to work with different pedagogical approaches and with colleagues from all over the world. Qualified candidates should demonstrate high academic standards and be able to challenge and engage students by initiating and facilitating classroom discussions. Candidates must speak English at a native level. It would be an advantage to hold an EU passport and/or have relevant working papers for employment in France.
