A Rich and Diverse Extracurricular Programme for IB Students
At Ermitage International School Paris, extracurricular activities are a cornerstone of student development. Our IB programmes encourage students to go beyond academics and become open-minded, creative, and engaged individuals.
Offered daily from 15:30 to 17:00, these after-school activities provide a safe, enriching environment, all within walking distance of our Maisons-Laffitte campus. Our approach emphasizes three main areas:

- Arts: fostering creativity, expression, and confidence
- Community Activities: encouraging curiosity, problem-solving, and social engagement
Each category offers age-appropriate options for students from primary to high school, providing a balanced and enriching after-school experience.
SPORTS | Building Skills and Team Spirit
IB extracurricular sports help students build physical fitness, discipline, and teamwork in a fun and supportive environment. Students can participate in a wide variety of activities tailored to their interests and age groups:
- Team Sports: Football, Basketball, Volleyball
- Racket Sports: Tennis, Table Tennis, Badminton
- Individual & Outdoor Sports: Athletics, Golf, Horse Riding, Boxing, Fencing, Dance

Mustangs: Enter in the Ermitage Sports Teams
The Mustangs are the sports teams of Ermitage International School, bringing together students from both the international programmes and the French bilingual programmes. Open to students from CM2/IBPYP5 to Terminale/IBDP2, the Mustangs offer opportunities to play Basketball and/or Volleyball while strengthening teamwork, perseverance, and sportsmanship.
Several times a year, the Mustangs participate in friendly matches against other international schools in the Paris region, fostering team bonds and broadening students’ sporting horizons.
ARTS | Cultivating Creativity and Expression
IB extracurricular activities provide students with opportunities to express themselves in various ways and discover new artistic horizons, encouraging imagination, fine motor skills, and creative expression. Student Committees: Exploring Interests and Developing Leadership from MYP
Every IB student at Ermitage International School is a member of a Student Committee for the year. These committees bring together students from all grade levels, from MYP1 to DP2, and are led by DP students, giving younger students the chance to learn from their peers.
These committees are designed to develop leadership, teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving skills, giving students the opportunity to plan and execute projects, make decisions, and see their ideas come to life.
