IB Programs

The Middle Years Program (MYP) provides a broad and balanced range of subjects allowing students to discover and develop their interests. The MYP encourages students to be active learners, asking challenging questions, while developing a strong sense of identity, cultural understanding and communication skills. The MYP curriculum is inquiry-directed and students take appropriate risks while exploring themes in and outside of the classroom.

During the MYP, our team of experienced teachers accompany and guide students on their journey as IB Learners. Emphasis is placed on individual growth
and encouraging students to reflect upon their classroom projects and co-curricular initiatives. Teachers facilitate students’ learning and help prepare them for the rigorous demands of the IB Diploma Program.

Following the Middle Years Program, students enter the Diploma Program (DP) prepared and motivated having developed their critical thinking skills in a supportive learning environment. In preparing students for university entrance, the DP not only requires a high-level of academic discipline through rigorous academics, but also encourages students to ask challenging questions, to develop a strong sense of their own identity and international mindedness.

The DP environment is dynamic, where students are at the center of their learning and maintain a wide breadth of subjects. Students are encouraged to become independent and responsible learners. 

Assignments are demanding, but by graduation, the caliber of research, writing and project management skills will be exceptional. The balance between academic work and co-curricular activities allows students to tailor the program according to their interests and develop an impressive university profile in the process.

Round Square in Action (RSIA) are daily co-curricular activities program offered from 15:30-17:00 by Ermitage coaches and staff as well as community partners, encouraging students to discover their interests outside of the classroom.

In addition to the RSIA intramural sports, students have the opportunity to compete against students both locally and internationally through our athletics department.
