Equestrian Programmes
Ermitage International School offers two equestrian programmes for riders aged 11 to 18. Riding lessons are therefore integrated into the school timetable and students are fully supported by the equestrian programme leader as well as the boarding staff and teachers.
Passion
Ideal for riders who are passionate about riding but who have no specific goal or interest in competing.
Each week:
- 2 group classes, 3 students maximum
- 1 forest walk
- 1 physical training session
- 5 competitions per year
Riders will also have the opportunity, on option, to take part in competitions.

Competition
This programme is designed for riders with established sporting goals and aims to optimise preparation for and performance in regional and national show jumping competitions.
Each week:
- 4 group classes, 3 students maximum, with top-ranked teachers in competition
- 2 forest walks
- 1 physical training session
- 1 CSO masterclass per month
- 1 mental preparation session per term
- 10 competitions per year
- Entry test to assess the level of the student
- Personal objectives set at the beginning of the year
