An international education for riders

For over 80 years, Ermitage International School Paris has deep roots in Maisons-Laffitte, known as 'La Cité du Cheval', and renowned for its equestrian heritage and is home to excellent stables and riding facilities. Thanks to this exceptional environment, the school offers two equestrian programmes for riders aged 11 to 18, giving students the opportunity to combine their passion for horses with academic excellence. Riding lessons are integrated into the school timetable and students are supported by the equestrian programme leader, boarding staff, and teachers.

Our riders practise several disciplines, including show jumping, dressage, and cross country. Located in the heart of Maisons-Laffitte, and close proximity with the Saint-Germain-en-Laye forest (that offers 65 kilometres of well-maintained bridle paths), Ermitage International School Paris provides the ideal setting for horse riding .

Many Ermitage students choose horse riding as an activity and benefit from the school’s official partnerships with renowned equestrian establishments.

Programmes Tailored for
Enthusiasts or Competitors

Ermitage offers two programmes for two different objectives:

Passion

Ideal for riders who are passionate about riding but who have no specific goal or interest in competing.

Each week:

2 group classes, 3 students maximum
1 forest walk
1 physical training session
5 competitions per year

Riders will also have the opportunity, on option, to take part in competitions.

Competition

This programme is designed for riders with established sporting goals and aims to optimise preparation for and performance in regional and national show jumping competitions.

Each week:

4 group classes, 3 students maximum, with top-ranked teachers in competition
2 forest walks
1 physical training session

1 CSO masterclass per month
1 mental preparation session per term
10 competitions per year

Entry test to assess the level of the student
Personal objectives set at the beginning of the year

Premium Facilities

Maisons-Laffitte offers exceptional facilities like no other in the Paris area. As part of our Equestrian Programme, your child will have access to our partner stables and to the Jumping de Maisons-Laffitte facilities, including the Gallop track.
