Living at Ermitage

Living at Ermitage

From the very moment you become a boarder at Ermitage, you become a member of a special family, where your peers become your closest friends.  Boarders at Ermitage not only benefit from a personalized approach to their studies, but also have a chance to live and learn in a peaceful and open-minded environment.  Indeed, the boarding houses at Ermitage are the homes of multi-cultural international students who have the opportunity to share experiences and grow together, creating life-long bonds.

Both 5-day and 7-day boarders live in charming historic homes, surrounded by gardens, forests, and always a stone’s throw away from the school's classrooms and facilities.

What I like the most about boarding at Ermitage is the people you meet and the friendships that are made. The most enjoyable moments are with them; we spend the week together and I call them brothers. My house parent [Stephan] is always there for support and to talk to.

Become a member of our family

The boarding section of Ermitage has been a home for hundreds of students throughout the years. They have all had the chance to live and learn in a safe, cozy and supportive environment, where every student is given the attention they deserve.

Here are some of the great opportunities that a boarder can enjoy at Ermitage:

  • Attentive and caring House Parents
  • Sports and activities in the evenings and during weekends
  • Closely followed academics, with study halls and library time
  • Cultural outings to Paris and surrounding areas
  • Adventure weekends
  • A great sense of family!

Our boarders have the privilege of living in a beautiful town, only 20km from Paris, surrounded by acres of forests. The historical buildings that make up the school and Maisons-Laffitte are a constant reminder of the cultural and historical background of the area. We encourage all our boarders to become part of our family and also active members of this community.
