Groups

This year, the timetable are different from last year's : classes of S.V.T., physics/chemistry, technology and accompagnement had been cut in 2 groups so that it's easier for the teacher and the student. We can do more interesting things like dissections, and we can have one computer each. The 2 groups do the same things. We have technology and accompagnement one week out of two. For physics-chemistry and S.V.T. we have one lesson per week in full classes and one lesson in group one week out of two. Tests are when we are in full classes.

Rentrée meetings

At the start of september, a week after the school year start, were the first school years meetings to have more informations on the school and this year.

First, the ARL teachers (Mr Fleury for the french, Mr Daniel for the 5ème & 4ème maths and Mr Perrier for the 6ème maths) explained from where came ARL and on what it consists and meant. They said that the ARL was a different way to approach the subjects and the necessary autonomy to work with this technique.

After, it was the english/civilisation and history representant teachers who presented the books that we need and the main points we were going to see in 5ème.

Then, many other teachers came like : Mrs Fontaine for non-ARL french, Mrs Ntone Priso for physics/chemistry, Mrs Durfor for spanish and the trip to Barcelona, Mr Erny for M.A.O., and others.

So, all the parents and a few pupils went back home after more than 3 hours of meetings and all the possible infos needed.

Grand Placitum

On september, december and june, all the college meets for the "Grand Placitum". It's a small inhouse conference with only Ermitage students. Mr Bouquillard, the college director does a speach. Sometimes, Mr Hunter comes and talks to us too. He is the Ermitage headmaster. Students also present project they did or want to do. They also talk about their activities and different things they do.

Like, in ermitage school, we have many opportunities for trips, students also present their trips and show videos ans photos ont hte giant screen. Last year, the president of UNESCO came and told us about his country. Mr Collie, a teacher, know Mr davidson Hepburn. There were also theater shows played during the year, and they showed a video about a piece of the show.

We learn many things about the school during Placitum and we learn to overcome our fears of talking in front of everyone.
