Athletics

Ermitage believes that in addition to strong academics, it is important for students to have a balance of adventure and sporting activities to engage in; creating opportunities to build life-long friendships, develop character, and improve personal health.  While traditionally, students in France are involved in local sporting organizations, Ermitage has introduced various school teams to create a more international athletics experience for our students.

Ermitage students train for golf, tennis, rowing, horseback riding, fencing, swimming, and skiing throughout the year with our fitness staff and community partners.  Intramural teams for basketball and football (soccer) have also become quite popular, even with an annual school-wide dodge ball tournament being organized.

Athletic Achievements 2010-2011

Ermitage has many star athletes that compete locally and at a national level in areas such as golf, ski, and equestrianism.  An updated list of team achievements will be published shortly.

Gym Facility

The Ermitage Gym Facility is located at "Gretry Square," which was originally an enormous building storing 14 horse wagons. It has since been converted to our Gymnasium and Art Annex, with variety of classrooms ranging from our basketball court, dance room, and Art Rooms.  The Gymnasium is equipped with basketball hoops, football goals, a badminton net, and all necessary gym equipment to ensure a good match!
